Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

In 2001-2007 data are presented only on 3 nationwide TV broadcasters, for confidentiality reasons the data on one local broadcaster are excluded.
Starting from 2008 digital and cable network channels are also included.
Since year 2011 ''Local government broadcasters'' is added.
A programme is considered to be in Estonian if the original language or voice-over language is Estonian or if a foreign-language programme has Estonian subtitles. As many television channels allow the viewer to select the voice-over as well as the subtitle language, since 2017, data on programme language are no longer published.
Data on free access national brodcasters for 2022 have been revised on 19.09.2023.
