Starting from 2026, the data on several retail trade activities are published under more general activities. Statistics Estonia still releases data according to EMTAK 2008, while the Business Register only uses EMTAK 2025, the new version of the classification, starting from 2025. Due to the differences between the two versions, the economic activities are not fully comparable.
Pursuant to EU regulations, data according to EMTAK 2008 will be published until the end of 2027.
