DEFINITIONS

Centre of Registers and Information Systems – a state agency working under the Ministry of Justice, whose main function is to develop and administrate the registers and information systems in the government area of the Ministry of Justice and provide communication and information technology services.

Commercial Register – a register maintained in the register departments of the Tallinn City Court, the Tartu County Court, the Pärnu County Court and the Lääne-Viru County Court, in which since 1 September 1995 all companies (general partnerships, limited partnerships, private limited companies, public limited companies and commercial associations), sole proprietors and branches of foreign companies are registered.

Primary sector – agriculture, hunting and forestry, fishing.

Secondary sector – mining, manufacturing, electricity, gas and water supply, construction.

Tertiary sector – trade, services, etc.
