COUNTY - the county of the person's place of residence, which was valid at the time of submitting the application for unemployment insurance benefit. The methodology for recipients of unemployment insurance benefits and payments has been specified in 2021. The time series of unemployment insurance benefit statistics for 2003-2020 have been recalculated.County means here the regional office of the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund which has registered the beneficiary as unemployed.
Total of the persons who received benefit during the year may differ from the sum of persons receiving benefit during the quarters, while the same person may receive benefit in more than one quarter.
The number of persons receiving benefits in the whole country may be smaller than the number of persons receiving benefits in counties, while the unemployed person may be registered in one county during a part of the period and in another county during the other part of the period.
