Since 2000 pension for incapacity for work is granted instead of the disability pension. Disabled children receive state benefit pursuant to the Social Benefits for Disabled Persons Act. There are no data about disabled children by county for the period 1981-1991.
The large decrease in the number of persons receiving disability pension or pension for incapacity for work for 2001 resulted from the amendments made in the State Pension Insurance Act in 2000. After attaining the retirement age, persons receiving pension for incapacity for work will receive either old age or national pension.
