Data presented according to Standard goods classification for transport statistics, 2007 (NST 2007).
The quantity of total freight in tonnes may be double as in case of domestic freight the same quantity of freight may be carried to the destination by several railway enterprises if one of them carries the freight on the public railway and the other on non-public railway. That is the reason why it is recommended, in order to characterise the quantity of the freight carried, to use the indicator freight turnover which indicates the volume of work (in tonne-kilometres) made while carrying the freight.
